Ravi, a fresh graduate, stepped into the small office nervously for his first-ever job interview. He clutched (held tightly) his neatly prepared resume and silently rehearsed (practiced) his introduction.
The interviewer, Ms. Kapoor, greeted him with a warm smile. “Tell me about yourself, Ravi,” she began.
Ravi took a calming breath and responded, “I recently graduated in Computer Science from Delhi University. I enjoy problem-solving and even developed an attendance app for my college as a project.”
Ms. Kapoor seemed impressed. “That sounds interesting. Why should we hire you?”
Ravi replied confidently, “I believe my skills in coding and my eagerness (strong desire) to learn make me a strong candidate for this role.”
“Good answer,” Ms. Kapoor acknowledged. “What about weaknesses? Do you have any?”
Ravi hesitated, recalling his mentor’s advice to be honest but positive. “Sometimes, I take longer to complete tasks because I pay attention to every detail. However, I’m improving my efficiency (ability to do things quickly and effectively).”
Ms. Kapoor nodded with approval. “Thank you, Ravi. We’ll get back to you soon.”
As Ravi left the office, he felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing he had done his best.
