The Neighborhood Gossip Story

It was a breezy afternoon, and Maya, Sara, and Jasmine sat on a park bench, enjoying the sunshine. Children played on swings nearby as the three women exchanged their usual lighthearted gossip.
Maya leaned forward. “Did you see Mrs. Sharma’s new car? It’s massive! Must have cost a fortune (a lot of money).”
Sara chuckled. “Oh, I heard her son gifted it to her. He just got a big promotion abroad (in another country).”
Jasmine raised an eyebrow. “That’s lovely, but did you notice? She’s already parading (showing off) it all over the neighborhood!”
Maya grinned. “She invited me to check it out yesterday. Honestly, it’s way too flashy (too bright or showy) for our area.”
Sara nodded. “Speaking of flashy, what about Mr. Gupta’s garden? He’s filled it with roses—even the driveway!”
Jasmine laughed. “It’s like he’s preparing for a flower festival. But to be fair, it does look amazing.”
Maya sighed. “True, but last week he scolded the kids for playing too close to his roses. He’s so protective (careful to keep something safe)!”
Sara shook her head. “That’s Mr. Gupta for you. Always taking things too seriously.”
Jasmine leaned closer. “Oh, and have you heard about Riya? She’s been spotted at the café with a new guy… a lot!”
Maya gasped. “Wait, isn’t she dating someone else? What’s going on?”
Sara smirked. “Who knows? Maybe it’s harmless, but you know how people love to speculate (guess without full facts).”
Jasmine grinned. “Well, Riya does enjoy being mysterious (hard to figure out).”
Maya: “She better watch out. The aunties around here love to exaggerate (make things sound bigger or worse).”
Sara laughed. “They’ve probably already started planning their wedding (marriage event).”
Jasmine giggled. “Let’s not become those aunties. Gossip’s fun, but let’s keep it lighthearted (not too serious).”
Maya smiled. “Agreed. Besides, what else would we talk about in the park?”
The three laughed together, their chatter adding to the warmth of the sunny afternoon.
